Free Anti Spam Software

i need a really good virus,spam,security prosection software that will will keep my computer running fast a safe. is there anywebsite i can go to to get one for free?

IBM thinkpad - no firewalls or software for protection. I use it for internet and email, with some word processing. All use is for personal stuff. it is not conected to other computers.

I have McAfee Total Protection installed and it does not find anything. I also have run Microsoft Malicious Software too, with nothing found. I still keep getting these popups that are just ads. WHY?!?
Additionally:
My firewall is enabled.
McAfee Total Protection is supposed to cover spyware, adware, malware, etc. It’s as 12-in-1 product.
I ran adaware prior to purchasing McAfee and it found nothing.
Spykiller also found nothing.
My pop-up blocker is also enabled.

I’ve got Microsoft Outlook email (2000 version of Works)

I’ve got virus/spam protection with McAfee. Anyway, last week I renewed my McAfee subscription, and had to download new software. Immediately, the Spam folder in Outlook disappeared. I badly need to access my Spam as I know a lot of genuine emails are being sent into Spam, but I cannot locate the Spam folder. It’s just disappeared from the tool bar.
I’ve tried asking McAfee technical support but they just say uninstall and reinstall McAfee, but this doesn’t make any differencen, my Spam folder is still missing.
Any ideas please!!?

I currently have Norton Internet security, but I’m planning to switch to another company. Are there any 3 in 1 programs which provide complete protection that some of you have had success with?
Also, I’m looking for answers from people who are currently using the programs they are recommending, rather than just a referral to different websites that offer many choices. Thanks

Software sucks along with help menu.

I was chatting online last night, when one of my friends’ friends messaged me. I am not friends with this person. When she messaged me she sent me a link to a spam website that included her msn username. I was reading up on what happens when you click on links through IM. I have virus protection (windows live one care). Is there software I can buy or download that can protect me against IM viruses. This is the first time ever that I have gotten an spam email, and I figured what they hey, i’ll just click on it.
