Free Anti Spam Software

Alright, so I’m doing this again, because I was a little confused the first time and need some more advice.

I have an HP computer, its about 2 or 3 years old (shut up =)
but I love it to death.

It came with Norton Internet Security AntiVirus 2005, and I guess it’s been working okay.

I’ve heard a lot of people complain about Norton, and I’m looking into buying new software.

So what should I get?
I need the spyware, the virus, the spam and all protection.
I use Firefox ALL THE TIME!
I have AIM.
I want something easy, fast, helpful, and at a suitable price.

So, what should I get?

I’ve been looking all over the place and I have tried avg and avast (are these good?), but extremely slow. I want a great free one that has no spam, spyware, or anything else like that. Thank you for all of your time and patience on commenting this.

right i dont know exactly whats happend, i dont think its a virus because im doing norton antivirus scan and its not detetcting anything, i think its more of something ive acccidently loaded onto my computer. basicly yesterday i was on a website and up came the usual click to download activix controll or whatever it is and i did well now im getting all these popups saying warning your computer could have viruses click yes to install pcsecure to do a system scan and when i click no or yes it brings up an internet page asking me to buy there software product. also my toolbar has changed to this thing that has remove popups spam protection and all that instead of my ussual google toolbar. i also had a few computer icons with the same sortof thing ( spam protection, error cleaner) and i deleted those but i cant actuly find any programes in add or remove programes. i also cannot have a desktop backround because when i try it sez cannot find C//INTERNET SPYWARE NOT FOUND. please help me?

For about a week now, my internet has been getting interrupted by a popup from system doctor 2006 it’ll will keep sending me to the page cannot be displayed screeen and the first thing that it suggest is to install system doctor software to clean my PC. I already have eTrust software to check for viruses and spyware but somehow it didn’t notice this. So I was wondering, is system doctor 2006 legit? How can I solve this problem? I also have a protection bar toolbar that I can’t get rid from my browser. All of the links take me to one of these sites:
