Free Anti Spam Software

I apologise in advance if my question is not worded correctly or if the terms I have used are not technically correct.

I receive all my emails through Yahoo mail but I am getting an increasing number of spam emails. Today, I purchased the MailWasher Pro software to help filter out the spam but it seems to want to link up with Outlook Express which I have never used because I could not get it set up. I cannot get MailWasher to associate with Yahoo mail.

1) Do I really need to have Outlook Express if I have Yahoo Mail?

2) If it isn’t essential , how do I remove it from the computer. It is not in Add/Remove and there is no ‘uninstall’ tool attached to it?

3) How do I get MailWasher to filter the emails via Yahoo mail?

Any help at all would be much appreciated.

I keep getting emails that contain random long messages of a similar layout, but the sent from address, is different everytime. This means i can’t put the address in the spam filter because it is different each time. It’s more of an annoyance than anything. Please help.

How can I stop this one outfit from sending me 5 to 10 emails aday of spam in my inbox even after I’ve spent two weeks trying to get them to stop,thay even emailed me saying thay would,but did not.

Yahoo effectively filters spam but something happens in the process of transferring to Outlook Express. I assume Outlook collects all filtered and unfiltered emails. Is there a way of not collecting the filtered ones?

I am getting over 100 spam emails each day. How do I stop them?

I’ve had two emails sent without my knowledge from my yahoo account to all the contacts in my address book. Both emails where Spam, but seem unrelated.

Is there anyway to keep this from happening again without closing my account??

Think about it….if we all hit ‘reply’ and and ask for more information would the spammers not be overwhelmed with emails such that they would not be able to filter their marks from the ‘reply spam’.
That is the conventional wisdom, however, I never respond to spam yet I still get tons of spam. Maybe we need to rethink that strategy?

I have tried to set up the spam filter but it doesnt seem to work. Any other suggestions?

My business website receives one of these same emails about every half hour or so, regularly. It comes from a different email address every time, but it’s the same email advertising the same thing. There’s no unsubscribe option.
Is there any way I can stop this? It’s getting really ridiculous.
