Free Anti Spam Software

What needs to be done to clean up and speed my pc? Also should I install free anti virus and anti spam software?

A single application that will work with all three.
After two answers (thanks!) - how about those ones that ask for a response/action from the sender to verify not a spam sending robot? Or aren’t they foolproof?

I have had problems with bit defender, AVG, and Norton.

ive tried spybot and avg, but i dont really get how to erase after the scan.i tried with spybot and nothing disapeared from the list it got from scanning when i clicked fix problems, even though it said fixed 9 problems

please i desperatly need help to get these virus’s out, but i cant trouble my parents for money to fix the comp, so i have to find a free software to remove this

After accidentally clicking on a side banner of a website the other day, we have been boarded with pop-ups and unwanted CRAP that just will NOT go away. It is slowing down our computer and our internet considerably. It interferes with anything and everything we try to do online. CONSTANT full-page pop-ups, and most are for anti-virus and pop-up blockers! Sometimes when we’re not even using the internet (we are always logged-on with our internet service).

I’ve already downloaded the free version of the AVG program, as well as the Yahoo! toolbar anti-spy. AVG didn’t help much, although it did find and get rid of about 10 Trojan files (I have no idea what those are…)

I am using Outlook Express with Windows XP.

The program is doing two things that I don’t want and I can’t find the appropriate settings to change the behavior.

1) The program is filtering certain mail messages that shouldn’t be filtered. Some of these are from people who are in my address book. Others are messages that show no indication of being spam. Many spam messages get through. Many messages with attachments that I want are filtered, yet many (often spam) are not filtered.

Where are the filter settings? How do I turn off the filtering?

2) The spell checker has somehow gotten switched to check my spelling in Spanish. I can’t find a language option for the spell checker to reset it to English.

Any help on either issue would be most appreciated.

is there any free software where i can get the whole kit? (spam virus etc,)

when im finished with it and i delete it and i find and get it leftover folders and defragment the comp. and we always run a check once a week with avg virus and spam protection software. and block those pesky starup idems you dont need. will it stillopen apps at the snap of the fingers and listen to music, chatting online all,burn cs al be done at once simutaiously

One that duznt take away from my processor too much, meaning duznt make my computer run slower when runing. Price duznt matter. My friend uses Xoftspy, and says it really good. Is that a good program? I heard bad things bout McAfee,that it take away from the processor speed.
